Eats for the Big Game
If you're preparing to feed an army for the Big Game, it's a good idea to get some things ready ahead of time. Perfect for that is Chef Chris Manning's easy-to-make Buffalo chicken pasta salad. It goes great with chicken wings, hot dogs, chili, or his second recipe, beer brats.
Buffalo Chicken Macaroni Salad
  1. 1 pound elbow macaroni, cooked al dente
  2. 1 pound cooked, diced chicken
  3. 1 cup diced celery
  4. 1 cup diced red bell pepper
  5. 1 cup diced green bell pepper
  6. 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  7. 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  8. 1/2 cup red hot sauce
  9. 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  10. Salt and pepper to taste
Beer Brats
  1. 1 tablespoon butter
  2. 1 small onion, cut in half and sliced
  3. 4 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 12 uncooked bratwurst, Italian sausage, or hot dogs
  5. 2 12-ounce beers
  6. 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  7. 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Buffalo Chicken Macaroni Salad
  1. Mix all ingredients together. Allow to chill for a least an hour before serving.
Beer Brats
  1. Melt butter in pan, add onions and garlic. Layer meat on top and fill with beer about two-thirds the way up the contents. Add chili flakes and Worcestershire.
  2. Partially cover and cook until meat is cooked and heated through.
